Area IV Agency on Aging Area IV Agency on Aging is a wealth of information, and a first stop for anyone who has questions related to aging services and caregiver issues. Information and Assistance (I&A) staff help senior citizens access the information and services they need to live independently and with dignity. They act as advocates to help seniors and their families through difficulties that may threaten their well-being, often locating financial resources that improve their quality of life. Area IV's Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) program (aka "Waiver" Case Management) ensures that Medicaid-eligible people at risk of premature institutionalization receive the services they need to remain in their home of choice. Long-term Care Ombudsmen make regular visits to nursing homes and assisted living homes to advocate for good care and living conditions. Agency funds provide support for: Congregate and Home-Delivered Meals, Homemaker Services, Legal Services, Health Promotion, Tele Care, Senior Farmer's Market Coupon Program, Adult Protective Services referrals, Community Resource Guides, Literature and Networking with other community organizations and agencies to provide a continuum of service to seniors and their families. Area IV serves Broadwater, Gallatin, Jefferson, Lewis & Clark, Meagher and Park Counties. Aging Services Help Line Number 1-800-551-3191.
