Rocky Mountain Development Council is fortunate to offer two outstanding early childhood programs.

Rocky Mountain Preschool is an early childhood program based on the Montessori model, providing quality, affordable preschool services for children age 2 1/2 to 6.  Up to sixty children are enrolled, attending either part time or full time.  Rocky Mountain Preschool is one of the few RMDC programs that is not income based, serving a range of income levels, from “two working parent” upper and middle income homes to limited income families who may receive state of Montana child care subsidies.  Rocky Mountain Preschool offers families highly qualified staff, exceptional programming and an unparalleled early childhood experience for children.

RMDC Head Start is a leading early childhood program for low-income families in the tri-county.  RMDC Head Start serves up to 250 preschool age children and their families, offering a comprehensive array of programs designed to strengthen families and help children succeed academically and socially.   RMDC Head Start serves children of all abilities and disabilities.  RMDC Head Start staff, facilities, and programs enjoy a reputation for excellence among clients, community partners, and state-wide early childhood organizations.
