Senior Centers

RMDC manages Senior Centers in Augusta, Boulder/Basin. East Helena, Lincoln, Townsend, Whitehall and Helena. Independently operated, but partially funded by RMDC's Area IV Agency on Aging, are additional senior centers in White Sulphur Springs, Bozeman, Livingston, Belgrade, Manhattan, Three Forks and West Yellowstone.

Seniors in all of these communities join their local Senior Center for a modest membership fee and come together for meals, activities, and services. Senior Centers offer seniors the opportunity to participate and socialize in a friendly atmosphere. Some centers serve meals every day, while others serve meals on selected days each week.

Senior Centers are often the meeting place for educational sessions on matters of importance to seniors and gathering places for groups who advocate for senior issues. The centers are frequently the site for health screenings, income tax assistance and assistance with Medicare or Medicaid issues.

Several Senior Centers offer transportation to their members. Seniors can contact their local senior center or RMDC's Area IV Agency on Aging at 1-800-551-3191 for more information.
